A.C.T. Theatre Summer Program

​Lights up and let’s perform! Summer Theatre Review is a high-energy musical theatre program where young performers get to sing, act, dance, and be part of a full musical theatre production from start to finish. 
Students (ages 7 and up) will audition on June 12, then jump into rehearsals for a fun and lively musical theatre review. Performers will learn the classic production number “Consider Yourself” from Oliver! — complete with singing, choreography, and big ensemble storytelling.

Classes begin on June 17th and meet Tuesdays & Thursdays from 6:30–8:30 PM.
Along the way, students will also work on acting scene work, theatre games, and character-building activities that help bring stories to life and build confidence onstage. The summer wraps up with a live performance on July 17 @ 6:30pm, where students get to shine & show off everything they’ve learned!

Summer Theatre Review is all about creativity, confidence, teamwork, and having FUN in a supportive and encouraging theatre community. No matter your experience level, if you love to perform — you belong here!

🎩Build the Character Mini Intensive

• Level Up your Character Building!

• Step beyond yourself and into someone entirely new! In this creative and high-energy intensive, performers will learn how to bring characters to life using their body, voice, and imagination.

• Students will explore how posture, movement, and gesture can instantly transform who they are on stage. They’ll dive into character traits like age, personality, energy, and status—then experiment with vocal choices and emotional tone to fully develop believable, dynamic characters.

• Through guided exercises and playful exploration, actors will discover how to step outside of themselves and make bold, confident choices that bring every role to life.

💡Lights Up! Acting & Stagecraft Mini Intensive

• Step into the spotlight and learn what it really takes to shine on stage! In this engaging mini-intensive, performers will build a strong foundation in acting and stagecraft while gaining the confidence to take direction and perform with purpose.

• Students will explore essential stage directions, learn how to confidently navigate blocking, and practice positioning that keeps their performance visible and impactful for the audience. Along the way, they’ll develop key rehearsal skills—like active listening, note-taking, and making quick adjustments—that directors love to see.

• Whether your performer is brand new or looking to sharpen their skills, this class sets the stage for stronger, smarter, and more confident performances. Oh, and we make it fun too!

🌟 Find Your Voice Mini Intensive!

• Step into the spotlight and be heard! In this dynamic mini-intensive, performers will unlock the power of their voice and learn how to command the stage with confidence.

• Students will build strong vocal foundations through breathing techniques that support clear projection, while also sharpening articulation and diction for polished, easy-to-understand performances. They’ll explore the difference between everyday speaking and stage voice—and learn how to elevate their delivery for a live audience.

• Through fun, engaging exercises, actors will experiment with vocal variety, including pitch, pace, and emotional expression, to create performances that are bold, clear, and full of life.

📖 Tell the Story Mini Intensive

• Great performances don’t happen alone—they’re built together. In this collaborative and engaging intensive, performers will learn how to connect with scene partners and bring stories to life on stage.

• Students will explore how actors work as a team to tell a clear, compelling story, while diving into key acting concepts like objectives and motivations—what a character wants and why it matters. Through guided scenework, they’ll practice listening, responding truthfully, and staying present in the moment.

• With a focus on connection and ensemble awareness, this class helps actors move beyond individual performance and into meaningful, dynamic storytelling.
