Our Programs

At Ascend, our programs are about more than dance—they’re about giving every dancer a place to belong, to be known, and to explore the arts while growing in confidence and self-awareness . Each opportunity is designed to cultivate genuine connection and help dancers grow not just in skill, but in who they are.

Ascend Community Theatre (A.C.T.)

For the child interested in theatre

  • Ascend Community Theatre is a program for young performers (ages 6+) to get on their feet and on the stage, training in acting, singing, and dance while participating in full-scale musicals and plays from start to finish.

  • This is more than just a class—it’s a full theatre experience, where students go through auditions, rehearsals, and live performances while learning what it truly takes to put on a show. Performers build confidence, stage presence, and strong performance skills in a supportive environment that welcomes both beginners and those who already love the spotlight.

  • Auditions are required for the August 2026 season (date TBD), and we’re so excited to meet our next group of performers!

Ambassador Training Program

For the fully committed dancer

  • The Ambassador Training Program (ATP) is designed for dedicated dancers with long-term aspirations in dance, related fields, or a commitment to excellence in the art form. This rigorous program demands grit, perseverance, resilience, a willingness to receive feedback, and, most importantly, the ability to train and collaborate within a team. We seek dancers who not only strive for technical and artistic excellence but also possess a passion for leadership, service, and ministry. At a minimum, ATP participants are required to take ballet and jazz technique classes, attend three-hours of weekly ATP rehearsal, and complete curriculum reading assignments outside of rehearsal time.

  • The goal of ATP is to provide dancers with a comprehensive foundation for their future endeavors by equipping them with the skills necessary for a professional dance career, should they choose to pursue one. The program fosters character development, cultivates leadership skills applicable to both their daily lives and future aspirations, and offers opportunities to explore the profound connection between dance and faith.

  • We recommend that dancers under age 12 who are interested in joining ATP in the future first participate in our ASPIRE program. This provides them with essential tools and supports a smooth transition into this rigorous program.

Applications are currently available in the office and are due May 22, 2025.

The following dancers are eligible to apply:

    • Dancers ages 12+ who have reached Elementary II level or higher

    • Dancers who will be age 10 by August 1, 2026 and have completed two years of the ASPIRE program may be considered for an Apprentice role. These dancers must complete the full ATP application and attend an audition on May 21, 2026 from 6:30–8:00 PM

Aspire Program

For the dancer interested in doing more

  • The ASPIRE Program is designed for dancers eager to challenge themselves, expand their skills, and explore the full potential of dance. This program fosters growth through perseverance, positivity, and teamwork, creating an encouraging environment for young dancers. ASPIRE is an excellent opportunity for those who aspire to refine their technique, develop a strong foundation, and potentially advance to the Ambassador Training Program in the future. It serves as the perfect stepping stone for dancers looking to push their boundaries and embrace new experiences.

  • The goal of this program is to provide dancers and their families with opportunities to explore the world of dance through enhanced performance experiences, participation in dance conventions, and additional training. Dancers who engage in this program often develop the skills, confidence, and preparedness needed to transition seamlessly into our Ambassador Training Program upon reaching the eligible age.

  • Dancers must be 8 years or older and have reached Primary Level II to participate in this program! There is no audition or application; simply enroll in the ASPIRE class when the season 13 schedule goes live!

Scholarship Program

For the dance family who needs supported

  • The Scholarship Program is designed to support dance families in need of financial assistance while fostering the development of impactful leaders with a heart for service. This program goes beyond tuition assistance—it cultivates dedicated, disciplined dancers who are passionate about their artistry, committed to continuous growth, and radiate positivity.

Scholarship recipients are not only devoted to refining their technique but also serve as role models who inspire and uplift those around them. They embody the values of leadership, perseverance, and a love for learning.

  • The goal of this program is to provide financial support to families in need, ensuring that their children can continue their dance training. Additionally, it aims to equip participants with valuable life skills and leadership tools that will benefit them well beyond the studio. Through this program, we strive to make a lasting, positive impact both within our studio and in the broader community.

  • Dancers must be 9 years or older to apply. Application deadlines for the 2026-2027 season have already closed.
