RECITAL DAY IS SUNDAY, JUNE 6TH 2021 FOR EVERYONE! SHOW #1 : 11:00AM SHOW #2 : 12:30PM SHOW #3 : 2:00PM SHOW #4 : 6:00PM DRESS REHEARSAL IS SATURDAY, JUNE 5TH 2021 FOR EVERYONE! SHOW #1 DRESS REHEARSAL : 4:30PM SHOW #2 DRESS REHEARSAL : 5:00PM SHOWS #3 & #4 DRESS REHEARSAL : 6:00PM




WHERE ARE THE RECITALS?


OUR RECITALS WILL BE HELD AT THE REED CENTER. The Reed Center 5800 Will Rogers Rd, Midwest City, OK 73110 THE REED CENTER IS CONNECTED TO THE SHERATON MIDWEST CITY HOTEL. ALL DRESS REHEARSALS WILL BE HELD AT THE REED CENTER AS WELL.




HOW DO I KNOW WHAT SHOW(S) MY DANCER IS IN?


THE FOLLOWING CLASSES ARE INCLUDED IN SHOW #1 : Monday 5:00pm Two’s, 3’s & Tutu’s Class ( Miss Jessie ) Tuesday 4:30pm Foundations Hip Hop ( Miss Megan ) Wednesday 5:00PM Ballet & Tap Foundations II ( Miss Megan ) Wednesday 6:00pm Ballet Foundations II ( Miss Samantha ) Thursday 11:00am Ballet & Tap Foundations I/II ( Miss Jessie ) Thursday 5:30pm Ballet Foundations I ( Miss Jessie ) THE FOLLOWING CLASSES ARE INCLUDED IN SHOW #2 : Monday 6:00pm Ballet & Tap Foundations II ( Miss Samantha ) Tuesday 5:30pm Ballet & Tap Foundations I ( Miss Megan ) Wednesday 5:00PM Ballet Foundations I ( Miss Alissa ) Thursday 4:30pm Ballet & Tap Foundations II ( Miss Alissa ) Thursday 5:30pm Foundations Hip Hop (Miss Samantha ) THE FOLLOWING CLASSES ARE INCLUDED IN SHOWS #3 & #4 : SHOWS #3 & #4 ARE EXACTLY THE SAME. DANCERS IN THESE SHOWS SIMPLY GET TWO OPPORTUNITIES TO PERFORM! DANCERS ENROLLED IN A PRIMARY (AGES 6 - 8), ELEMENTARY (AGES 9 - 11), OR YOUTH (AGES 12 - 18) LEVEL CLASSES WILL DANCE IN BOTH SHOW #3 & #4 DANCERS DO NOT GET A CHOICE TO DANCE IN ONE BUT NOT THE OTHER.




WHEN DO TICKETS GO ON SALE & HOW DO I PURCHASE MY TICKETS?


TICKETS GO ON SALE MONDAY, MAY 3RD 2021

  • Tickets will be purchased via your parent portal in DanceStudioPRO
  • Tickets will be $10-$12 per seat, all families will be allowed to purchase up to 6 seats initially - with more seats made available if seats are not sold out.
  • You will want to make sure to purchase the tickets for your student’s show! Each ticket represents one reserved chair. Lap children are allowed, ages 3 & under and do not require a ticket.
  • IMPORTANT: Seating will NOT be socially distanced. Venue asks for masks in all public spaces, but by our June performance dates, this may not be required.




IF MY DANCER IS IN 2 SHOWS DO I GET 6 TICKETS FOR EACH SHOW?


YES!




WHAT IF I NEED MORE THAN 6 TICKETS TO A SHOW?


We expect more to be made available closer to the performance, but to ensure each family can purchase seats we are limiting to 6 tickets initially. Thank you for understanding!




DO I  HAVE TO PURCHASE A TICKET FOR MY TODDLER?


Children under 3 are considered lap children and do not require a ticket.




IF MY DANCER IS IN 2 SHOWS DO I HAVE TO BE PRESENT AT/PURCHASE TICKETS FOR BOTH SHOWS?


YES, if you want to watch and have a seat for both shows. We are in a smaller venue this year, and seats will be at a premium. Our Show #3 @ 2:00pm & Show #4 @ 6:00pm shows are the same, just repeated a second time to allow for more audience members to see the show. Thus, each ticket is per show. We are advising dance families to volunteer for one show, and purchase a ticket for the other!




HOW DO I VOLUNTEER TO HELP AT DRESS REHEARSAL & THE SHOW(S)?


THANKS FOR YOUR INTEREST IN HELPING OUR SHOW RUN SMOOTHLY! WE COULDN'T DO IT WITHOUT OUR FANTASTIC VOLUNTEERS! HERE'S HOW TO SIGN UP TO VOLUNTEER :

  1. LOG INTO YOUR PARENT PORTAL
  2. SCROLL DOWN TO WHERE ALL THE ICONS ARE
  3. CLICK THE BOTTOM RIGHT ICON THAT SAYS, "VOLUNTEER."
  4. FIND YOUR DANCER'S CLASS AND CLICK "SIGN ME UP!" IF THERE ARE NO SLOTS LEFT IN YOUR DANCER'S CLASS, THAT MEANS WE HAVE ALREADY FILLED ALL OUR VOLUNTEER NEEDS!
  5. ALL VOLUNTEERS WILL RECEIVE A FREE RECITAL T-SHIRT!
You will need to attend our Volunteer meeting June 4th, Dress Rehearsal June 5th, and the Show on June 6th for which you are volunteering! Volunteers will get to watch the dancers they are assisting with from the side of auditorium. Even though Show #3 & Show #4 are both the same, that does not mean you have to volunteer for both, unless you want to! Most of the roles we need assistance with are class wranglers. Other volunteer positions will be posted closer to Recital. More details will go out via email closer to our event, and at the meeting Friday June 4th!




WHEN DO I GET TO TAKE MY DANCER'S COSTUME HOME?


Costumes go home May 3-7th. This is also Parent Watch Week/Recital Meetings Week where parents will join us for the last 30 min of their child's class time to watch and to receive costumes and to go over recital details!




WHEN IS PICTURE DAY & HOW DO I SIGN UP?


PICTURE DAY IS FRIDAY, MAY 7TH (12pm - 4pm) & SATURDAY MAY 8TH (9am - 5pm), 2021 PHOTOS WILL BE TAKEN BY KELLY SHERMAN PHOTOGRAPHY Book a time HERE These are individual photos, but could also include sibling photos. Photo Day Notes: We will add days if these times all fill and we need them. Arrive ALREADY DRESSED in your first costume if possible. If you have 2 costumes schedule/reserve one block for each costume - with a break in between for changing. Hair and make-up are up to you for photo day! You will receive your costume, with all instructions for accessories, hair & make-up the week prior - and you may use photo day as a practice for these things or for your own choices on hair etc. Teachers will be available for help with posing but we cannot guarantee it will be YOUR student's instructor at the time of their photo. We will do everything we can to help you get an amazing photo! From Kelly:
"Please schedule a 5 minute time block for each outfit you'd like your student photographed in. It may be beneficial to space your appointments out a bit to give time for wardrobe changes. The sitting fee of $10 is required to hold your reservation and is non-refundable. This fee does NOT include print products or digital images. Packages start at $25 and all products will be available for purchase via an online gallery once your images are edited and uploaded."

WHAT ARE PROGRAM ADS?


Our Recital Program is the booklet everyone receives if they attend the show. The Recital Program lists all the dances in each show with song titles, the dancers names, and the teacher! Audience members often follow along with the program throughout the show to see what dances are coming up! This year, you can purchase an ad for your business and it will be included in our Recital Program. This is a great advertising opportunity that will reach approximately 2,000 people. In addition, the people at our shows are likely to purchase your businesses service because they are like-minded individuals! If you've ever been to a show at the Oklahoma Civic Center you can think of their program booklet when picturing what ours will look like!
